About Us
bayshore builds AI agents for legal and compliance — software that turns complex rules into clear, auditable decisions. Our platform combines a legal reasoning engine with explainable automation to help enterprises move faster without sacrificing compliance. Our clients are some of the world's largest organizations, including DAX-listed and Fortune 500 companies.
We're backed by Earlybird, one of Europe's leading inception funds, and are assembling an exceptional team to shape how regulated enterprises adopt AI at scale - approaching Legal AGI.
The Role
As a Legal Engineering Intern, you'll sit at the core of what makes bayshore work: turning dense regulation and internal policy into logic a machine can execute. You'll work directly with the founders and with our customers - some of the largest regulated enterprises in Europe - from your first week. This is not a shadowing internship. You'll own real pieces of live client work, ship them, and see them used.
You don't need to write code today. You need to think clearly about how rules actually work, and want to learn how to encode them. We'll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do
Work directly with our customers to understand complex legal and compliance challenges
Help translate regulation and policy into structured, machine-executable logic
Contribute to redesigning how legal work gets done with an AI-first approach
Learn to work with our proprietary tooling - no prior coding required (we teach you)
Take ownership of real pieces of live client work from your first weeks
Help shape our product through what you learn on the ground
What We're Looking For
Currently studying or recently graduated in law (or a related field) with strong academic performance
A genuine belief that AI can do many aspects of legal work
Comfortable with computers and excited to learn a rule-based programming language - no prior coding required
Move fast, think clearly, and take ownership
Prefer simplicity over abstraction and shipping over talking
Enjoy client-facing work and care about delivering real value
Fluent in German (written and spoken) is a hard requirement for client-facing work in a German-speaking market
Thrive in early-stage environments: few processes, high ownership, high speed, and ambiguity
Relevant exposure to pharma, defense, or finance is a plus, not a requirement.
What We Offer
Real ownership from day one - you work on live client problems, not side projects
Speed and impact: no layers, no bureaucracy - you ship fast and see your work used immediately
Learn directly from one of the early, internationally renowned pioneers of legal tech
High talent density: an ambitious team that values clarity, integrity, and growth
Competitive internship compensation
A path to a full-time or working-student role if we work well together
A front-row seat to how enterprise AI in legal and compliance actually gets built
