Senior Full Stack Engineer

As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, you will work closely with the engineering manager and engineering team, contributing to building scalable, high-quality solutions. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust systems that drive business efficiency and innovation. Your role requires a hands-on approach to both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on reliability, performance, and security. You will work with modern languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, VueJS, and NestJS, and leverage databases like PostgreSQL. You will use AWS cloud platform, leveraging their tools for deployment, scalability, and system optimization. + What you’ll do

System Design and Development:

• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team to design and develop scalable, high-quality systems. Analyze existing architectures and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability. Build and maintain both front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks such as VueJS and NestJS.

Automation and Optimization

• Develop and implement automated solutions to streamline engineering and business workflows.
• Integrate tools and APIs to reduce manual processes and improve system efficiency.
• Leverage JavaScript frameworks and scripting to create reusable, robust components for scalable solutions.

Integration of Tools and APIs

• Integrate databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and third-party tools to enable seamless data flow and operational continuity.
• Ensure RESTful APIs are designed and implemented with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.

Testing and Troubleshooting

• Perform rigorous unit and integration testing to ensure the functionality and reliability of systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal downtime.

Documentation and Collaboration

• Create detailed documentation for codebases, integrations, and troubleshooting processes to support team understanding and onboarding.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align technical implementations with business goals.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on the latest trends in software engineering, exploring ways to enhance system design and development practices.
• Regularly review and refine systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  

+ What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. test driven development, code reviews, design, documentation) 5+ yrs for Senior SWE roles
• Proven experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems emphasizing reliability, interoperability, quality, and security. You have a focused approach in writing unit and integration tests.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer. Besides having a strong technical background have also shown that you can work effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams.
• Eager to tackle complex technical problems, learn quickly, understand tradeoffs, and communicate solutions effectively.
• Strong experience in Javascript, Typescript, CSS, HTML, VueJS, NodeJS, NestJS, Jest, or other Javascript frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of NoSQL databases and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure. A plus if you’ve used AWS services intensively before.
• Strong SQL skills
• Strong knowledge of building RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of CQRS
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Demonstrable ability to work across multiple teams to deliver an end product
• Experience with UX design, developing complex user interactions with a UI-based product
• Experience in library design. A plus if you’ve built and maintained large-scale JavaScript apps or participated in open-source development.
• Strong experience with Git, Docker
