Everything happens somewhere - which is why spatial analytics is fundamental to companies trying to understand the “where” and the “why” of their business. CARTO is the leading cloud-native location intelligence platform, trusted by data scientists, data analysts and developers from companies such as T-Mobile, Mastercard, NHL, Coca-Cola and Gap to provide geospatial insights for use cases such as site selection, geomarketing, route optimization, network planning and much more.
With an exceptionally diverse team of 170 people spread across the US and Europe, CARTO (backed by Insight Partners, Accel Partners, Salesforce Ventures, Earlybird Ventures, and Kibo Ventures, among others) is changing the way companies analyze location data - making it simple to do this straight out of modern, cloud data warehouses. Redefining its category, the company has grown rapidly in recent years providing a compelling alternative to legacy GIS software.
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive the next phase of our company's growth. Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic vision, tactical execution, and a deep understanding of B2B SaaS marketing, particularly targeting the enterprise.
This position is remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's objectives, increase brand awareness, and drive demand generation.
  • Demand Generation: Execute and optimize campaigns across all channels to generate high-quality leads for the sales team. Monitor and report on lead conversion and ROI.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Oversee the design and execution of targeted marketing campaigns that resonate with specific high-value accounts, driving deeper engagement and conversions.
  • Partner Marketing: Build and nurture strategic partnerships, developing joint marketing initiatives to tap into new markets and revenue streams.
  • Product Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to ensure alignment between product development and market demands. Oversee the creation of product marketing materials, messaging, and launch strategies.
  • Events: While we are strong in this area, further refine our event strategy, ensuring optimal ROI and brand visibility.
  • Marketing Automation: Ensure the effective utilization of existing marketing automation tools and systems. Evaluate new tools that could further enhance our marketing efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage the marketing team, ensuring they are set up for success in their roles and projects.
  • Budget Management: Allocate and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across projects and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in B2B SaaS marketing, especially within the analytics domain.
  • Deep expertise in demand generation, ABM, and partner marketing.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company, shaping the future of modern geospatial analytics.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
