About You
Do you have a deep interest in the European startup and Venture Capital ecosystem and a finance or accounting background? Would you like to support a finance team in their daily routines, learn how to manage a portfolio of start ups in the early stages, do proper valuation of those and apply your theoretical knowledge into practice? At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
  • Assistance in the analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and performance metrics of portfolio companies
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and LPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines and procedures
  • Help in tracking and monitoring the performance of portfolio companies and supporting their financial and operational needs
  • Support on maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, to ensure the integrity of financial information
  • Collaborate with the entire finance team to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency within the team but also in close connection with internal and external stakeholders of the team
What we hope you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree about to finish in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • Analytical, fact-driven and pragmatic problem-solving approach
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel; any other financial software tools considered an asset
  • Curiosity, team-player, open-mindedness, global mindset
  • Proficient skills in English and German (speaking and writing) required
  • Work authorization for Germany
  • The ability to work with us full-time for up to 6 months in our Berlin office
