At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
  • Collaborating on deals with the Digital West Investment team, supporting deal sourcing, assessments, preparing investment decisions, and managing subsequent due diligences.
  • Developing your own industry expertise through deep dives into the intricacies of the field, simultaneously providing your colleagues with extensive insights driven by your more science-like background.
  • Proactively expanding your network within the European Venture Capital ecosystem, engaging with startups, founders, investors, entrepreneurs, and influential companies that are shaping the future.
  • Leveraging your STEM and business knowledge to forge meaningful connections.
  • Offering support to the Digital West Investment team across all aspects of creating value for our portfolio companies and investors, demonstrating a commitment to utilizing your unique skill set and industry insights to enhance the success of our investment strategies.
What we hope you bring to the role:
  • A completed Bachelor's degree and possibly a Master's degree or higher in STEM disciplines, preferably in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • Some VC, consulting, and/or startup operator experienced is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in one or more of these tech areas: Food & Ag, Energy, Climate, Space, IndustrialTech, and Materials.
  • Proficient in analytical rigor, applying a scientific approach to problem-solving and data analysis.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic understanding of investments.
  • Curiosity, team-player, open-mindedness, global mindset, and networking skills.
  • Availability to work full-time for a duration of at least 3 months in one of our offices.
  • A valid work permit for the country you will be working in.
