At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
- Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders and LPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards, internal guidelines, and procedures.
- Track and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, supporting their financial and operational needs.
- Assist in analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and performance metrics of portfolio companies as part of the quarterly reporting process.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.
- Contribute to the daily operations of the Fund Admin Team, respond to ad hoc requests from LPs and other stakeholders, and support initiatives to further digitize the department.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify opportunities for process improvements and propose ideas to enhance efficiency within the team and across the firm.
What we hope you bring to the role:
- Currently completing a university degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or in the gap time between two studies.
- Curious, open-minded, a team player, and possessing a global mindset.
- Strong analytical skills with a fact-driven and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with other financial software tools is a plus.
- Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Available to work full-time for 3 to 6 months in our Berlin office.
- Must have valid work authorization for Germany.
