We’re looking for a Robot & Drone Software Engineer to join our team for a 6-month engagement, with the possibility of extension. The role can be offered either as a freelance position or a fixed-term contract. You’ll be working remotely, from within European time zones, and contributing to innovative robotics and drone software projects. The start date is flexible—immediate or within the next four weeks.

• Integrate third-party drones via their APIs into ROS and the ER ecosystem.
• Write clear and maintainable C++/Python code.
• Evaluate integration peformance in simulation and with real drones.
• Investigate and document behavior of hidden robot state machines.
• Identify and resolve bugs in our ROS software framework.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams.

• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in writing clean, maintainable code
• Hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Ability to debug complex systems
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and agile development environments
• Fluent in English

• Experience with DJI Drones
• MQTT, Docker, MinIO
• Experience in industrial inspection field
