Applied ML Scientist for Causal Analytics and Process Optimization
EthonAI
Job description
At Ethon, you will help shape the manufacturing landscape by pushing the adoption of our state-of-the-art technologies. We are looking for an applied ML scientist with the drive to turn cutting research into impactful changes for our customers.
Who is Ethon?
We are the number one Industrial AI Platform. We are a technology leader trusted by global manufacturers to optimize cost, quality, and speed.
The Ethon Platform understands how production processes behave in real-time. It surfaces deviations and explains what drives variation. It guides teams to optimize cost, quality, and speed while keeping operations under control across factories.
As a team, we are multinational, multifaceted, and action-oriented. We are intentional about the principles that guide us every day: create immediate impact and value, play in the top league, and create the best place to work and grow.
What is this job about?
In this role as Applied ML Scientist you will work in the intersection of algorithmic ML research and industrial applications like process control. You will
Develop and improve causal ML algorithms (categorical handling, interaction effects, graph-based inference).
Build and validate algorithms for Autonomous Process Control.
Push the capabilities of our analytics, for example by bringing advanced deep learning capabilities into our stack.
Bring your implementations from first prototypes all the way into production deployments.
Job requirements
First and foremost, we believe in curious people who are eager to learn and grow. If you’re passionate about cutting-edge tech and driving major impact in manufacturing, we want to hear from you. Please also reach out if you don’t check all the points mentioned here.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
Must-Haves:
Solid Computer Science, Data Science, Math or Statistics foundations: we expect a degree in one of these, or equivalent.
Good software engineering skills, preferable proficient in Python. You are expected to work in the product engineering team and contribute to production code.
Hands-on experience with probabilistic modeling, statistical inference, or causal reasoning.
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
Strong motivation to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Bonus:
Experience with time-series data from industrial or physical systems.
Familiarity with control systems and concepts.
Exposure to foundation models or deep learning for structured / tabular / time-series data.
Background in causal inference.
-
Experience with optimization: numerical, stochastic, or process-oriented.
Why is EthonAI right for you?
We don’t just work together. We accelerate each other's professional and personal growth. Come and take your engineering career up a notch, at the forefront of industrial innovation!
Additionally we offer a good handful of specific benefits:
