We are a growing team looking for a Senior Key Account Manager in the Account Management department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Amsterdam office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
As a Senior Key Account Manager you’ll work on interesting responsibilities like owning and growing one of sennder’s top businesses. You’ll be collaborating closely with operational teams to enable seamless execution of business opportunities and maintain alignment with the commercial strategy. In this role, you will …
  • Develop and own the overall commercial strategy of the Control Tower, including contract negotiation, designing commercial models to drive profitability, and identifying new business opportunities within the client ecosystem.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Control Tower business to ensure consistent operational excellence and continuous improvement across processes.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for key stakeholders with the customer, ensuring exceptional service levels, strong business relationships, and customer satisfaction that meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Work closely with operational teams (such as account managers, Spot teams, Carrier teams and other internal stakeholders to enable seamless execution of business opportunities and maintain alignment with the commercial strategy.
  • Focus on driving profitability through efficiency improvements, data-driven commercial decisions, and streamlined processes that empower operations to deliver high-value results.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities to grow the business, either within the existing scope or by entering new markets or areas within the customer’s ecosystem.
  • Leverage analytics tools to analyze operational and financial data, extract actionable insights, and increase efficiency across commercial and operational teams.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
  • Languages: Dutch native speaker and fluent in English.
  • Industry & market knowledge: A clear understanding of the European transport & logistics industry (FTL and FF), and market dynamics.
  • Strategic commercial acumen: Strong strategic commercial acumen with the ability to take strategic decisions and translate commercial strategy into effective execution.
  • Digitalization: Utilize analytics tooling (Looker, Google Suite, Microsoft365) to analyze data, report insights, take data-driven decisions and increase efficiency within our operations.
  • Executional excellence: Achieve measurable results and continuous improvements in terms of execution support by frameworks and processes that enable the team’s successful performance.
  • Stakeholder management: Engage, inform, and gain the support of internal and external stakeholders. Take time to build internal & external relationships, earning the trust of others within the organization through strong situational awareness and reliability.
  • Financial/accounting knowledge: Experience and solid understanding of basic P&L to ensure making the right and impactful decisions.
