We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior GL Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, while also supporting accounting-related tax compliance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
In this role, you will take ownership of core GL processes, contribute to statutory reporting obligations, and support the standardization and improvement of accounting practices as part of our wider finance transformation. The specific responsibilities will be defined by the GL Accounting Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs.
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and adjustments.
- Support accounting-related tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, and other local taxes), coordinating with external advisors where needed.
- Prepare or support statutory financial statements and ensure timely and correct submissions to local authorities.
- Provide documentation and support for external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with other finance workstreams (AP, AR, FP&A, Treasury) to ensure consistency and completeness of financial data.
- Contribute to the implementation of standardized accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the group.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or Audit, ideally with exposure to multi-entity and international environments.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP; willingness to expand knowledge across various GAAPs.
- Experience in accounting for local taxes such as VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Solid experience in month-end closings and statutory reporting processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Oracle and NetSuite is a plus.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of key accounting areas.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
