We are a growing team looking for an Senior Carrier Manager, to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
As a Senior Carrier Manager, you'll drive the strategic development of our carrier network across the sennder platform while maximizing carrier performance and profitability. You'll own capacity planning, carrier negotiations, and relationship expansion to ensure we meet customer demand with consistently high service quality. In this role you will:
- Build strong relationships with trucking company key contacts (owner operators, dispatchers, and drivers)
- Drive long-term strategic capacity plans and allocations with our carrier partners through dedicated account management
- Develop new and expand existing carrier relationships via targeted outreach and referral networks
- Negotiate competitive pricing and contracting terms with carrier partners
- Champion technology adoption and process improvements with carriers to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Conduct regular quality reviews and identify operational bottlenecks to maintain service standards
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize network utilization and profitability
- Maintain accurate shipment tracking and communication across internal and carrier systems
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding operations, with a focus on road freight
- Proven ability to communicate persuasively with diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels
- Strong strategic mindset combined with a self-starter approach to problem-solving
- Fluency in English; any other European language is a plus
- Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive measurable results, and juggle multiple priorities with urgency
