We are a growing team looking for a Operations Representative to join us on a 9 month fixed-term contract. The role is based in our Riga office.
As an Operations Representative focused on truck dispatching, you will oversee the day-to-day logistics operations related to our charter trucks. Your role will involve effective communication with internal planning teams and external chartering carriers, ensuring seamless execution and problem resolution for daily trucking issues.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL ...
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations related to our charter trucks.
- Maintain effective and structured communication with internal planning teams and external chartering carriers throughout all stages of the freight transportation process.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted delivery process.
- Track and manage transportation costs in our platform to ensure they remain within the set limits.
- Update our tracking platform with all necessary information, including timestamps, incidents, and any changes in shipment status to ensure full visibility and accountability throughout the logistics process.
PREFERABLY YOU HAVE ...
- Experience in logistics, especially in organizing international transportation (considered an advantage).
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive, problem solving mindset with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach, with a strong sense of responsibility towards assigned tasks.
- Stress resilience and willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.
