Key Responsibilties:
- Be responsible for and manage all tax related compliances for India business entity and global capability center (GCC)
- Review and file the tax returns i.e. Income Tax, TDS, GST, etc. for all India entities & managing GST refund applications for GCC
- Managing assessments conducted by Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, response to queries, submissions & appeals at different levels
- Ensuring TDS, GST, TP, BEPS, Payroll related compliances on regular intervals (Payment, Return, Reconciliation & Revision), analyzing applicability of withholding taxes from India & international taxation standpoint, Master file & CbyCR report preparation.
- Liaise with the auditors to complete the Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing audit, master file, GST audit, etc.
- Ensure compliance with GST for transactions between branch locations
- Liaise with external consultants to ensure assessments are being tracked and closed
- Liaise with senior counsel and tax consultants on litigations
- Be a part of the team implementing ERPs to ensure the tax requirements are being considered and implemented.
- Analyzing business function, identifying impact & restructuring business processes like sales, operations, supply chain, administration & finance, adhering to required compliances registration, returns, payments & certification, rereading contracts/PO with customers/vendors.
- Be up to date on changes in taxation impacting the business and put in appropriate controls and processes to ensure compliance; socialize changes to the relevant teams internally
- Supporting business teams at the time of contracts to ensure tax compliance and business impact
- Administering financial activities including monthly closing, provisioning, ledger scrutiny, reconciliation and comparison as per prevailing standards & pronouncements.
- Lead the tax team for India and be responsible for and coordinating with the international tax team in US and UK
- Prepare the tax reporting pack for US GAAP related compliance for India entities
- Manage the submission and follow up for the Service Export Incentive Schemes
- Supervising foreign remittances, intercompany settlement among international markets and sister/partner companies
- Review and assess any tax implications as part of M&A activities
Key Requirements:
- Work Experience: 15+ years of relevant work ex post CA qualification.
- Educational Qualifications – Chartered Accountant.
- Hands on experience in Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision, highly organized, committed and responsible.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong business partnering skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly- driven and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and in large teams
- Good business partnering and influencing abilities
- Working knowledge of Workday Financial System would be added advantage
