Key Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor coding standards.
- Implement new data maintenance processes.
- Evaluate and implement recent technology solutions.
- End-to-end process ownership.
- Communicate with stakeholders.
- Conduct knowledge exchange sessions with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Automate manual processes and develop data tools.
- Build new analytical processes, providing insight to data quality issues and implementation of data improvement solutions.
- Build processes to fetch data from open data sources, e.g. websites.
- Research and implement modern data mastering techniques to increase derived insight on disparate data sources.
- Support other data engineers with design of ETL processes, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data lineage
Essential Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
- Strong knowledge of data transformation processes, exposure to standard and complex datatypes.
- Knowledge of latest solutions in the market is a plus.
- Knowledge of Data Operations methodology and data management approaches is preferred.
- Knowledge of Service Now and/or Jira is an advantage.
- AWS/GCP certification (including cloud environment administration) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SQL including SQL Server administration (tuning, database design and optimization).
- Experience with a variety of coding tools and languages (SSIS, Go, Python, Git/Bitbucket, APIs, NoSQL).
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and reporting tools (Power BI).
- Understanding of security and version controls.
- Experience in managing stakeholders and project plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
