Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all US GAAP month end transactions and analyses for assigned countries/businesses according to the corporate close calendar.
- Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to local, regional and global partners by analysing business results and providing insights into key drivers versus prior year and forecast.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in compliance with internal controls, resolving issues as they arise.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate US GAAP vs Local GAAP reconciliations, providing insights into main drivers of differences.
- Provide support for External Auditors, agreeing audit plans and ensuring audit points are reviewed with action plans put in place.
- Support Front of House Revenue accounting, including reconciliations between Front of House and Back of House systems and related account controls.
- Lead, drive and deliver key business projects as assigned, including systems upgrades and new initiatives.
- Identify and implement efficiency initiatives for processes and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting department.
- Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the local leadership to support evolving business needs
Experience needed:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or similar degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
- Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience.
- Experience with management accounting, regulations and tax compliance.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and IFRS.
- Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to co-ordinate multiple inputs to provide clear, concise and insightful management information.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Able to work hybrid. 3 days per week from our Warsaw office.
