Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full commercial legal support to D&B entities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Partner with Sales to structure, negotiate, and draft commercial customer agreements and support business initiatives affecting contract management and compliance.
- Manage and advise on cross‑border commercial deals, including deal structuring and execution.
- Support Procurement by preparing templates and negotiating/drafting vendor and supplier agreements.
- Negotiate and document contracts with licensors and distribution partners, including data purchasing and data quality/compliance matters.
- Contribute to cross-functional strategic initiatives (product development, data innovation, technology improvements, global customer arrangements).
- Lead improvements of standard contract templates/processes and ensure alignment with corporate legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the corporate legal team to ensure contracts align with internal policies, legal standards, and business objectives.
- Partner with Global Compliance & Ethics to ensure adherence to local/regional laws and internal procedures.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise leadership on required actions.
- Coordinate with global in‑house counsel and external local counsel when specialized support is needed.
- Provide legal guidance for product development, governance processes, and template/framework updates.
- Support claims and litigation matters in coordination with the global Litigation & Employment team.
Essential Requirements:
- Master’s degree in law from a German or Swiss university (First German State Examination).
- Strong academic background, including proven legal drafting and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in German; fluent or advanced English required.
- 3+ years of commercial legal experience (financial services, in‑house counsel, or law firm).
- Solid knowledge of contract law, IP licensing, commercial contracting, and data/analytics business models.
- Familiarity with local data protection and privacy regulations; interest or experience in legal AI is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; high integrity; ability to work independently and in global teams; proficient in Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint.
