About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Strategy & Operations Intern to support our team in Berlin. As part of the team, you will take ownership of key projects across the company with real bottom-line impact across functions. You will have the unique opportunity to work in a cross-functional team environment, be a key part of our startup from the early stage and have a direct influence in shaping the product. This role intends to equip you with the skills to succeed in an impactful full-time role at finmid and we will extend job offers to return full-time for the best performers.
In this role, you will:
Take end-to-end ownership of projects and work on them closely with one of our founders
Work with customers and our team to improve the product on a continuous basis
Support customers to better understand the products and features
Run data analysis and constantly review metrics to gain a deeper understanding and support data-driven decisions on key improvements
Fully leverage and further develop critical business skills including quantitative and qualitative analysis, project management, communications and stakeholder management in a high-functioning team environment
Assume end-to-end responsibility and take ownership in your realm
What you need to be successful:
Background:
You have a Bachelor or Master from a prestigious university in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field
Ideally, you have already gained experience in the financial services industry (Bank, FinTech, etc.) or in consulting
Skills:
You have excellent English language skills (German is a nice-to-have)
You possess exceptional analytical and strong Excel skills
Traits:
You are available to work for 3 or ideally 6 months, as a full-time intern (40h/week)
You are analytical and enjoy structuring abstract problems into actionable recommendations
You are a fast learner and work well within a fast-paced work environment
You actively help yourself (and others) to be successful
You give and receive open, direct and timely feedback
