A little bit about Flanks

Flanks is a Barcelona-based fintech company focused on wealth management services. Its main product is a SaaS solution that helps financial advisors, family offices and other institutions to have a holistic view of their clients’ financial assets while using the latest scraping technology. We’re currently building the benchmark in the OpenWealth industry, and so far we managed to have compatibility with over 300 national and international entities, with a 95% coverage of main financial entities in Europe.

We have already more than 300,000 aggregated portfolios spread across different entities and have positioned our business at break-even in less than a year. In August 2021, Flanks raised €2.3 million in an investment round led by JME Ventures and SeedRocket 4Founders Capital. And a significant €7.5 million in August 2023, led by EarlyBird Venture capital, demonstrating confidence in our vision and capabilities.

We have more than 100 clients around the world, are pioneers in our market in Spain and will be growing faster in Europe in the next few months and years. However, we are going to take a league leap in terms of the volumetry of the system, as our key focus now is to accelerate our market expansion in Europe and Latam. About the role

Join our dynamic and creative team as a UX/UI Designer Intern. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate in shaping the visual identity and user experience of our products. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Examples of tasks you can expect to work on are:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and assist in creating visually appealing, user-friendly designs.
  • Supporting user research efforts and gathering feedback to help inform design decisions.
  • Creating sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to contribute to the overall user experience.
  • Assisting developers by providing design assets and specifications to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of design guidelines to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our design processes.

Things we'd love to see on you

    • You live in Barcelona City or nearby, allowing you to work at the office two to three times a week.
    • We cannot offer a relocation package or a work visa.
    • You have a working proficiency in English.
    • We're here to help you grow, so don’t worry if you don’t check all the boxes!
    • Showcase a portfolio of your design work that highlights your creativity, problem-solving skills, and understanding of user-centered design principles. (We would love to see the Figma file to get a direct look at your work in action.)
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Figma (this is a must).
    • Knowledge of themed design systems and Figma libraries.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate and present design concepts.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of your design tasks.
