The Position
Take on a once-in-a-career opportunity and shape the future of Hive’s revenue growth by leading our European Sales engine across Account Management (expansion of our amazing existing customers) and Business Development (winning the next generation of Hive brands). As our first VP Sales (EU + UK), you’ll design, build, and scale a truly best-in-class revenue organization spanning 6+ markets (DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, UK – more to come), ensuring Hive continues to dominate as the partner of choice for Europe’s fastest growing e-commerce brands.
This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role with direct ownership of topline revenue, strategic input at C-level, and the opportunity to build and lead a team of exceptional sales leaders across Europe. Your mission: drive growth from both sides of the funnel — expansion and acquisition — while ensuring local nuance and global standards create true excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue through excellence: Lead and inspire our Account Management and Business Development teams to deliver consistent growth across all markets. You own the number.
- Create and execute the playbook: Develop and implement a world-class revenue strategy that balances account expansion, cross-sell/upsell, and how to close new businesses from opportunities that you get provided.
- Scale across 6+ markets: Ensure consistency in systems, but adapt to local market realities. What works in Berlin might not 100% land in Milan — you know how to balance global scale with local nuance.
- Build & lead leaders: Develop a high-performing, scalable sales organization. Mentor Sales Managers and Team Leads, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and ambition.
- Work hand in hand with Growth & Ops: Partner closely with Marketing, SDR, and RevOps to ensure smooth lead handovers, pipeline predictability, and that we focus on what truly moves the needle, as well as our operations & product teams to ensure we are building solutions that our customers actually want.
- Obsess over data & impact: Set the bar for forecasting accuracy, pipeline quality, and deal execution. No fluffy vanity metrics — only revenue impact.
- Be hands-on when needed: You’re not afraid to jump into key deals, expand top accounts, or lead from the front when it matters most.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Ultra-driven & revenue obsessed: You love owning the number and won’t sleep until the target is not just met but exceeded.
- Experienced sales leader: Proven success in leading B2B SaaS or tech sales teams across multiple countries, preferably in hypergrowth environments. You’ve led both acquisition and account management organizations before.
- Builder of systems: You don’t just manage; you build. You know how to scale playbooks, introduce structure, and create systems that work from €25m to €250m ARR; and utilize AI to ensure that we are operating on the forefront of possibilities.
- Leader of leaders: You have significant experience managing managers and growing leadership teams. Gravitas, coaching ability, and performance management are second nature.
- Strategic & analytical: You understand sales levers, segmentation, and pipeline dynamics. You make decisions based on numbers, not gut.
- Hands-on & entrepreneurial: You’re not afraid to dive into calls, roll up your sleeves, and make things happen yourself when needed.
- Cross-cultural operator: You know how to adapt leadership and sales strategies across diverse European markets, while keeping a strong global north star.
