HiveMQ’s Vision for this role
We are looking for a passionate, curious, and motivated team player to join our Sales Development team. You will be an advocate of the HiveMQ team culture and actively participate in bringing our company and team to the next level. The Sales Development Representative is a key part of HiveMQ’s GTM team, working on qualifying prospective customers, setting up meetings for Account Executives, and driving opportunities into the sales pipeline that drives our ambitious revenue goals.
You will…
- Research, contact and qualify leads for the Sales Team (inbound and outbound) that creates a robust pipeline.
- Use email, phone and social media, contact prospects to articulate HiveMQs value and set up compelling discovery meetings with the prospect.
- Create and evolve effective email and social media strategies for outreach to prospects
- Work closely with the Sales Team on support and execution on their strategies
- Build rapport with prospects
- Maintain a solid understanding of our software solutions, competitors and industry trends
- Create strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
- Research and build new and existing accounts through rigorous multi-channel outbound efforts
- Work in a fast-pace environment, take the initiative to get stuff done, try new things and amplify your successes by sharing your findings with your team
- Track all activities in Salesforce

- The ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and excel at problem solving
- Insatiable sense of curiosity
- Belief that change is essential to progress
- The desire to learn, to be coached and to grow professionally and personally
- Strong understanding of how to conduct outbound prospecting
- Demonstrated consistent, high performance in previous roles
- Proficiency in Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn and/or similar tools is a plus
- 1-2 years of SDR (or similar) experience is a plus
- The ability to work CST/EST hours
