The impact you will make
As a Si Nanowire Specialist at Marvel Fusion, you will take a technical lead role in advancing our cutting-edge Si nanowire technologies. Your expertise will be central to the development and refinement of Si nanofabrication processes, including advanced Si etching and nanolithography. You will lead the technical efforts towards the creation of next-generation targets.
In this role, you will focus on achieving breakthrough advancements in Si nanowire fabrication. Your work will play a key role in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in Si nanowire fabrication and scaling. You will also collaborate closely with world-class research institutions and industry leaders, ensuring that Marvel Fusion is positioned at the forefront of Si nanowire R&D and production.
More specifically, you will:
- Take ownership of Si nanowire R&D and production processes, including Vapor Metal Assisted Chemical Etching (V-MACE), Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE), and other advanced etching methods. Focus on achieving Si nanowires with aspect ratios beyond the state of the art, optimizing the fabrication process to push the limits of scalability.
- Leverage deep knowledge of Si chemistry to refine and optimize etching, and other nanofabrication processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reproducibility.
- Collaborative Development to integrate new processes and technologies into product development, ensuring seamless implementation of new nanofabrication methods.
- Collaborate with world-class academic and industrial partners. Represent the company in high-level discussions, and strategic partnerships to accelerate innovation and bring novel solutions.
- Lead technical activities in the clean-room and chemistry labs, ensuring adherence to strict safety protocols, and troubleshooting technical challenges as they arise.
- Maintain and expand a strong professional network within the Si nanowire community. Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in nanofabrication, and contribute to academic and industrial research initiatives.
What you bring
- Completed an MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering or a related field, or equivalent breadth and depth of experience
- In-depth experience with nanostructured Si etching, nanolithography techniques and characterization.
- A deep understanding of Si chemistry and its role in nanofabrication, with the ability to optimize and troubleshoot processes at an advanced level.
- Well-established academic and industrial network within the Si nanowire community. Active participation in conferences, workshops, and research collaborations with world-class research institutions and industry partners.
- Demonstrated ability managing complex projects and providing strategic direction to achieve project goals.
- Extensive experience working in clean-room and chemistry lab environments.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills, able to meet deadlines while ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
- Dependable with a strong can-do attitude, capable of adapting to dynamic project requirements and finding creative solutions to challenges.
- Eager to explore new ideas, and implement innovative approaches in nanofabrication.
