The impact you will make
The Operations team at Marvel Fusion has helped build and scale the company from the beginning.
As Manager Operations for the Laser Team you will work closely with the PM Office, Laser, Finance, and Purchasing teams to lead the operational tasks for laser-related projects across the company. Furthermore, you will take ownership in applying and managing publicly funded projects and take over stakeholder management. Lastly, you will support in building up the supply chain and establishing strategic partnerships.
Your responsibilities
- Taking on programmatic and operational tasks in all laser-related projects
- Conception, coordination, and management of strategic and operational projects with internal and external partners
- Intensive cross-functional communication with all departments
- Analysis and evaluation of new business and partnerships
- Sitting at the core engine of Marvel Fusion, you will get insights into main projects of the company and make sure that Marvel Fusion is on track to commercialize inertial fusion energy
- You are part of a team and work collaboratively with business professionals, scientists, and engineers in a highly dynamic working environment
What you bring
- You have completed a Masters or PhD degree in business, finance, industrial engineering, physics, or a similar field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an operations, strategy, or similar role (i.e. in a strategy consultancy, strategy department or working in a high-growth startup)
- Successful completion of a relevant project either in a private or professional context
- Fluency in English and conversational communication skills in German (B2+ level) are mandatory
- Hands-on experience with Project Management Tools
- Professional skill level in Excel and PowerPoint
What sets you apart
- Having a background in both business & technical fields is a strong plus
- Prior experience with Lasers or Optical Industry in general is a strong plus
- Prior experience with publicly funded projects
