Job description:

Start date: October 15, 2025
We are looking for a Nanophotonic Process Engineer to ensure reliable execution and optimization of cleanroom processes in our internal facilities, driving fabrication stabilization to scale R&D prototyping toward technology industrialization.

Responsibilities
Process Execution:
· Perform and oversee critical fabrication runs within the cleanroom environment.
· Maintain strict adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
· Monitor and document process parameters to ensure consistency and quality.
· Deliver successful chip fabrication while meeting tight schedules.
Process Development:
· Develop, and qualify cleanroom processes to support the creation of innovative products.
· Collaborate with R&D teams to translate new designs into manufacturable processes.
· Conduct experiments to test and validate new process steps.
Process Optimization:
· Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement (yield, throughput, etc.).
· Implement statistical process control and other methodologies to improve process stability and reliability.
· Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, leading root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of all process runs, developments, and optimizations.
· Generate comprehensive reports on process performance and project progress.
· Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
· Proven experience in a cleanroom environment (3+ years).
· Industry experience is a plus.
· Experience with Si photonics and III-V materials.
· Solid understanding of nanofabrication processes (such as lithography, etching, deposition).
· Experience with nanofabrication process optimization, calibration and testing techniques.
· Familiarity with various cleanroom equipment (e.g., lithographic tools, coaters, plasma etching & deposition tools, metal evaporators, SEM).
· Characterization and design knowledge on active and passive optoelectronic devices is a plus.
· Knowledge of Python coding language is a plus.
Soft Skills:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to work independently and participate to multiple projects simultaneously.
· Flexibility, polyvalency and open-mindedness.
· English professional proficiency.
· French is a plus.
