About Pillar
Pillar is an Italian startup founded on February 13, 2025. In less than a year, we raised €15.2 million to revolutionize the construction industry, and we are growing fast. Our mission is to rebuild its foundations. Our ambition is to manage 1 in 3 construction sites in Europe. We are Italian, but with a European vision 🚀

The Italian construction industry is the backbone of the country's economy, involving nearly 5 million people, yet it is still managed with outdated tools.

Pillar was built to solve this problem at its root. We have built an all-in-one platform that allows construction companies to oversee every job site and monitor profitability in real time.

Why Join Us Now
We are a sales-driven B2B SaaS business today, and HubSpot sits at the centre of almost everything: how leads come in, how they're worked, how customers are retained, how the business is measured. As we scale, more products, more teams touching the same system, the cost of an under-owned CRM compounds fast: broken attribution, inconsistent data, automations built by five different people with five different logics, sales and marketing arguing about whose numbers are right.

This is a hands-on, technical, and strategic role and a founding one. You'll be the first hire on CRM, which means you'll be the one building workflows, custom properties, integrations, and reporting yourself from day one. As scope grows, you'll also be responsible for building the team around you, but the first chapter of this role is entirely hands-on.

What You'll Do
In practice:

Platform ownership & architecture

  • Own HubSpot's full architecture: object model, properties, pipelines, permissions, and data hygiene standards.

  • Define and enforce data governance: naming conventions, required fields, deduplication logic, lifecycle stage definitions.

  • Build and maintain integrations between HubSpot and the rest of the stack (ad platforms, product/data warehouse, billing, support tools), including API-level work when needed.

  • Own technical debt: audit what's been built ad hoc so far, and re-architect what doesn't scale.
    Acquisition

  • Own tracking and attribution infrastructure inside HubSpot: UTM governance, form tracking, CAPI/server-side integrations, offline conversion imports.

  • Partner with Paid and SEO/Content to make sure every channel's performance is measurable and trustworthy inside the CRM.

  • Build lead scoring and routing logic that actually reflects how the business qualifies and converts.
    Lifecycle & automation

  • Design and build lifecycle marketing automation: nurture flows, lifecycle stage transitions, behavioral triggers, holdout/measurement frameworks as we scale.

  • Own segmentation infrastructure so campaigns can be built on reliable, real-time data.

  • Build the reporting layer that shows what's actually driving pipeline and retention, not vanity dashboards.
    Sales enablement & RevOps

  • Own the CRM architecture that underpins sales operations: pipeline structure, deal automation, sequences, playbooks embedded in the tool itself.

  • Partner closely with Sales leadership and the RevOps team to make sure CRM structure and their operational needs stay aligned as the business scales.

  • Build the infrastructure needed for a multi-product sales motion, routing, product-specific pipelines, cross-sell/upsell logic, as the product line expands, in a way that RevOps can execute against.
    Scaling for growth

  • Design HubSpot's architecture to support multiple products and multiple countries without collapsing into chaos, multi-currency, multi-language, market-specific pipelines and reporting.

  • Own the roadmap for when and how we evolve beyond native HubSpot capabilities (reverse-ETL, CDP, data warehouse) as complexity grows.

Who We're Looking For
This is you if:

  • You have deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise.

  • You're comfortable with the technical side: APIs, webhooks, custom-coded workflows, data modeling.

  • You've owned CRM/marketing automation in a B2B SaaS environment.

  • You think in systems: you can look at a messy, organically grown CRM and see the architecture it should have.

  • You understand both sides of the house: how marketing generates and nurtures demand, and how sales works and closes it.

  • You're comfortable owning data quality and governance, not just campaigns.

  • You've dealt with scaling complexity before: multiple products, multiple markets.

  • You're comfortable being a founding, individual-contributor hire first.

  • You know how to set standards and guidelines for teams that execute independently.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in a company that scaled from single-product/single-market to multi-product/multi-market.

  • Background in a startup or high-growth environment.
