Description
Join the CEO Office at QuantumDiamonds (QD) and help shape how one of Europe’s most exciting deep-tech scale-ups is seen by the world. As an Intern in Finance, your mission is to support our day-to-day financial planning and operations and ensure we stay on top of our numbers and best practices as we scale. This role also offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as you develop and make an impact within the team.

Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our strong, international team of over 60, including physicists, engineers, data scientists, and other experts, works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, supporting chip debugging and accelerating yield analysis. What will you do
- Support financial planning & analysis by helping build and maintain forecasting models, budgets, and scenario analyses that inform leadership decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of our business model and contribute to evaluating financing needs, capital structure considerations, and strategic options.
- Drive grant management activities, including submission, reporting, and reimbursement tracking.
- Support the implementation of our ERP system and optimize finance tools to enable scalable processes as we grow.
- Take ownership of day-to-day accounting, including invoice tracking, expense payments, and managing our DATEV system.
- Contribute to investor-related activities, such as preparing fundraising materials and financial slides for investor updates.
What is expected of you
- Hold (or are pursuing) a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You are analytical, detail-oriented, and have a strong sense of ownership.
- You enjoy working with numbers and know your way around Excel.
- You are proactive and able to independently tackle tasks from start to finish.
- You are available full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 months and able to work from our Munich office.
- German proficiency is mandatory.
