About The Role

As a Manager, Operations Excellence you’ll work on crucial activities which contribute to the execution of the department vision and strategies by identifying and driving quality, productivity and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the team's activities while ensuring the accurate and timely entry of order data from our clients into our system. This role involves managing various data entry methods, including APIs, automations, and manual uploads. Your primary focus will be on supporting and optimising processes to ensure operational efficiency, internal operations support and external stakeholders (shippers and carriers) satisfaction.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage the team by overseeing order ingestion/entry, order status, adjustments and product availability as well as strategic management of all order management processes;
  • Oversee the entire order management process, from order placement to fulfilment and delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to quality standards;
  • Manage duties and responsibilities as required to support operational issues during peak seasons;
  • Enforce stringent quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of entered data and produce regular reports to monitor team’s performance and data accuracy using business intelligence tools;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of order management activities;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance order management systems, technologies, and tools, and recommend process enhancements or system upgrades as necessary;
  • Monitor order-related customer feedback and complaints, promptly addressing issues and implementing corrective actions to improve overall customer satisfaction;
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members and ensure their proficiency in order management processes, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE:

  • Master degree in economics, statistics, engineering and equivalent fields or comparable work experience;
  • 5+ years professional experience in operations, operations excellence, operations analysis, project management with a history of success working within logistics companies, consulting firms and/or scale ups
  • 2+ years in managing teams of 3+ people
  • Strong experience in data analysis and visualisation tools such as SQL, Tableu,PowerBi, Looker to support critical decisions and translating them into actionable insights;
  • Experience in working in high-growth and rapidly scaling environments and overcoming the challenges that these bring;
  • Great coordination and presenting skills, which facilitate collaboration and partnership;
  • Previous experience in transport and warehouse logistics highly preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Italian and English;
  • Ability to work independently with G-Suite and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint proficient).
  • A proactive and self-starter approach with good organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Great team working attitude.
