Quick summary: We’re hiring our first in-house HR Business Partner to build the people foundation of Sintra from the ground up. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, shaping how it feels to join, grow, and work here every day. You’ll work closely with founders and the team to build human systems that scale without losing their soul. Success in this role means building just enough structure to support a growing team, without importing corporate frameworks or unnecessary processes.

What you'll do

  • Build and own employee experience and engagement practices from scratch

  • Design onboarding and offboarding that feel clear, human, and intentional

  • Create simple performance and feedback cycles that surface issues early, and actually help people grow

  • Design and support growth frameworks that clarify progression, scope and expectations for individuals and teams

  • Set up and run core HR operations, policies, and documentation

  • Translate Sintra’s culture and values into practical, lived processes

  • Act as the owner of people-related topics, serving as a trusted advisor to leaders by balancing people needs, founder context, and company priorities with business goals.

Who we're looking for

  • Proven experience building HR processes from scratch, including onboarding, performance, and feedback systems in an early-stage or fast-growing company

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations

  • Ability to implement tools and systems for HR workflow automation and reporting

  • Experience designing career paths, growth frameworks, and succession planning

  • Comfortable analyzing employee data and using insights to drive decisions

  • Skilled in resolving people-related issues, conflict management, and providing coaching

  • Strategic thinker who can translate business goals into practical HR initiatives

  • Comfort working without predefined playbooks

  • Ability to work with founders and challenge assumptions when needed

Salary range: €4,500 - 6,000/month gross, depending on experience.
