About Tilt 🛸
We’re building the next century of shopping - making it feel human, communal, and alive again. E-commerce has spent decades optimising for clicks, stripping away the trust, joy, and connection that once made shopping meaningful.
We’ve recently raised an $18M Series A from the world’s best investors to build the next era of commerce. Now, we’re hiring elite builders to make it happen
Your Mission 🫵
To build, own, and scale the platform that powers Tilt. This is our first dedicated DevOps hire; you’ll shape how we deploy, monitor, scale, and speed up everything we ship. You’ll be part of the core engineering team, working side by side with product engineers and data leads to keep Tilt lightning-fast and resilient as we grow.
This is a rare opportunity to build from the ground up. If you love creating clean systems, speeding up teams, and building tools that developers love, this role’s for you.
Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role, and only candidates with full right to work will be considered.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will: 👷♀️
0–3 months
Drastically improve CI/CD pipeline speed to help us ship faster
Level up monitoring and observability so we catch issues before users do
Help transition from a legacy REST API to GraphQL infrastructure

Improve Docker builds
Collaborate with data engineers to keep data synced across systems
Introduce load testing and better testing environments
Rework code build processes and make Tilt fully runnable locally

Understanding code well (especially TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python) and able to work closely with engineers, even if not writing production code
Experienced in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, ideally at an early-stage startup or scale-up
Comfortable being the first in a role and building things from scratch
You value pragmatism, simplicity, and moving quickly
