Our platform engineering team works on the cutting-edge of Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code to support our distributed search engine.

As a Platform Engineer in our Prague office, you'll be responsible for creating a robust infrastructure that enables our search technology to handle complex queries at scale while ensuring our development team can innovate rapidly and deploy with confidence.

    About the role

    You will be building the infrastructure for the TopK engine to run on, as well as creating tools to maximize your colleagues' productivity.

    Your job will be:

  • Building and operating a Kubernetes-based platform to efficiently & safely deliver our distributed system to customers. High-availability, low-latency, and correctness.
  • Operating delivery pipelines at scale (multi-region, multi-cloud, cloud & cloud prem). We deploy many times a day.
  • Maintaining speedy build and test pipelines. Developer productivity is a core value at TopK. From PR to production in <15mins.
  • Creating tools that streamline testing, benchmarking, and experimentation for your fellow engineers. The more the engineers can experiment, the better.

    • Interview Process

    We absolutely do not want to waste time by 7-stage long-form interviews. We have a simple process:

  • Introductions - Talk to one of the founders, discuss your previous experience, and explore what interests you about TopK.
  • Technical interview (one of)
  • Take-at-home assignment
  • You can take your time and try out what it would be like to work on TopK. We’ll give you a problem (in your preferred technology of choice) that closely resembles our day-to-day work.
  • After you finish, we will meet to discuss your solution in style of a “Taking it to production” interview.
  • System design interview
  • Culture fit - You’re welcome to join us for a day in the office or we can grab lunch so you can meet the entire team.
