Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.

The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and Motive Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs, including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow.

We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.

We’re based in Berlin and we are considering Berlin-based candidates for this role.

Your mission:

The Growth team at Upvest is driving our go-to-market activities and is responsible for Upvest's topline. Our mission is to become the Investment-as-a-Service category leader for Europe's leading brokers, banks, wealth managers, and non-financial platforms. We're honoured to work with some of Europe's most influential brands in a fast-moving and expanding market already and are just getting started.

All our team efforts are centred around our clients and give you the opportunity to work on your own projects. Working in the Growth team combines impactful work with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We have established strong practices around feedback, team health, and social events.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

Contribute to the evolution of our Business Development by bringing your knowledge and passion to support our go-to-market in the upcoming months, and potentially beyond:

  • Strategize and Innovate: Contribute to the development of dynamic outbound strategies and craft meaningful pitches that captivate potential customers, driving our business growth.
  • Optimize Sales Performance: Utilize data-driven analyses to design and implement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and productivity of our sales team, ensuring we focus on the right things in our high-growth phase.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Engage in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with both external stakeholders (clients, partners, etc.) and internal teams (product, finance, legal, etc.) to support and align strategic objectives.
  • Lead Market Research Efforts: Conduct independent market research to uncover, gather, manage, and analyze trends and business opportunities, providing valuable insights that influence our strategic direction.
  • Previous work experience from related, fast-paced work environments in the financial industry is a plus

About you:

  • Availability for a 4 - 6 month internship

  • Eagerness to learn & passion for the Fintech industry

  • Experience with customer-centric sales processes and customer communication

  • Enrolment in or completion of a degree in a Business Administration, Finance course, or a related field

  • Previous work experience from related, fast-paced work environments is a plus

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

  • Love for challenges and a strong sense of responsibility

  • Eligibility to work in Germany and relocate to Berlin
