We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.

We’re based in Berlin but are also open to hiring remotely in Germany or Estonia for this role. If you're currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.

Team's mission

You will join the Client Impact team at Upvest.

The Client Impact team ensures smooth transition of clients through their lifecycle phases and after launch ensures that clients integrations are efficient and scalable. Integration Success sub-team is responsible for all technical aspects of the clients integrations from development through launch and maintenance to sunsetting and offboarding. We own the artefacts and tools needed to ensure a slick experience of engineers on the client side. We develop needed tooling to ensure fast and smooth integration of the Investment API into clients products. We create tutorial content and other media as required.

By these means we create a context for our customers in which success is the easiest outcome.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Help improve and govern the API as the primary interface to a cloud-native investment platform.

  • Create learning materials and tools to shape the experience clients have developing with the API.

  • Gain experience in the rapidly growing field of Integration Success engineering.

  • Bring a human touch to the experience of software engineers.

  • Foster a community of engineers.

Job requirements:

  • You have experience in software maintenance that consumes or provides an API.

  • You understand OpenAPI specifications and JSON Schema.

  • Your passion for communication is demonstrable.

  • You believe that examples and documentation deserve the same engineering rigour as the code itself.

  • You can look beyond technical detail to the broader product experience.

  • You focus on what matters, plan and prioritize accordingly.

  • You take ownership of tasks and their outcomes.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in any positions such as:
    • Developer eXperience

    • Technical Support

    • Solutions Engineering

    • Technical writing

  • Experience working in the FinTech domain.
