Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.

The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and ABN Amro Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs (including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow).

We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.

We’re based in Berlin but are also open to hiring remotely in Germany for this role. If you're currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Future-proof and uplift existing people processes, systems and documentation to fit the needs of a growing and international organisation

  • Showcase your attention to detail while prioritising progression over perfection

  • Create impact for all Upvengers by ensuring an effective, responsive and caring first-line service

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve, standardise and automate while ensuring great employee experience and high-quality work

  • Find ways to help and support the team, whether it’s handling direct employee requests, supporting business partners, or covering for your peer when on holiday

  • Find your own focus area (single ownership) while tackling day to day queries that matter to employees as part of a team (shared ownership)

Job requirements:

  • Experience as an (international) People Operations Partner or HR Generalist and/or
    Individuals who have a strong background in process & system optimisation (planning & implementation) in growing organisations

  • Experienced in driving the optimisation of (cross-functional) people processes

  • Exposure to and interest in international labour laws (especially Germany, Estonia, UK, Switzerland)

  • Meeting the highest compliance standards is paramount in our regulated field

  • Experienced in handling sensitive and privileged (people) data and information

  • Based in Berlin or willing to relocate (we will support you with relocation)

  • Experience in fast-paced growing organisations

  • Great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with our tools & systems: Hibob, Linear, Gaia

  • German language skills
