As Upvest enters the next stage of growth, we are looking for an exceptional Pensions Operations Manager.

You will empower millions to own their future by dismantling barriers to long term investments, reducing complexity and increasing access via familiar leading fintechs and financial institutions.

Revolutionise a new generation of pensions in Germany

Deep-dive into the AVD (Altersvorsorgedepot) framework. You’ll own the operational end-to-end process of this core business priority.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and manage Upvest’s pensions processes in regards to transfers, contribution management, bonus applications and edgecase-handling

  • Scale and lead the pensions operations team by building, mentoring, and managing team members as business growth and volume requirements evolve

  • Act as a subject matter expert, responsible for setting up Upvest’s german pension products, train staff and contribute in the daily tasks

  • Build relationships with the operational teams of our clients and assist them in supporting their end-users with pension related queries

  • Contribute to building a best-in-class product

  • Optimise workflows and contribute to the implementation of automation and AI to define our pension experience

  • Design operational improvements whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, addressing potential risks to support reliable and secure operations

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury and other teams to support efficient processes and address challenges as they arise

  • Participate in projects aimed at scaling our pension offers

  • Monitor key metrics providing insights to support business decisions and improve performance

What you bring:

  • Deep understanding of market rules and existing pension products in the German market

  • Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and data exchange with ZFA

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills; ability to identify and solve errors

  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • German native fluent in English - both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team

It’s great if you have:

  • Experience in data analysis and process automation using data visualization tools, SQL, Python, or similar

  • Several years of relevant work experience with Riesterrente (former german pension product)
