At Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, you will be responsible for funding projects and the associated legal issues.

This includes the identification of potential funding calls and the preparation of a comprehensive funding outline for a new project to scale up our DAC technology, which is scheduled to start in 2026 at the latest.

How you'll contribute

Specifically you will…

… be responsible for Greenlyte’s grant applications and R&D project coordination.

  • Identification and analysis of relevant funding programs at national and European level.

  • Development and implementation of strategies for successfully applying for public funding or grants.

  • Preparing, submitting and leading grant applications in collaboration with our management team and external stakeholders.

  • Ensuring the timely and proper processing of grant applications.

  • Oversee ongoing publicly funded projects for compliance, guidelines, and team composition.

  • Preparing reports and presentations for management.

… be Greenlyte’s main point of contact for grants and publicly funded projects.

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with funding providers.

  • Building an ecosystems for large scale public funded projects.

  • Being responsible for public affairs.


Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables

Months 0-3

  • Gain a clear understanding of our team, technology, and current grants- and funding practices.

  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and understand where you can best support them.

  • Screen funding programs, create a database of potential funding sources, deadlines, and requirements.

  • Kick-off a new grant proposal.


Months 3-6

  • Submit a new grant proposal.

  • Taken over ownership of coordinating our running R&D projects.

  • Coordinate regular meetings with project teams to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.

  • Prepare detailed reports on grant application progress, successes, and areas for improvement.


Months 6-12

  • Make a proactive role in public affairs, representing Greenlyte in discussions with funding bodies and other stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain a robust ecosystem for large-scale publicly funded projects, fostering collaboration and partnerships.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of ongoing projects, making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.


About you
  • Studies in the field of business administration/management, industrial engineering, accounting or controlling, law or comparable qualification.

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in applying for and managing funding.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team as well as an independent and structured way of working.

  • Confident handling of MS Office and ideally experience with special funding software solutions.

  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

  • Bonus: Solid knowledge of the national and European funding landscape.

  • This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.
