We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Essen. In this role, you will ensure that our laboratory, workshops, and shared spaces are kept clean, safe, and well-organized — enabling our researchers and engineers to focus on developing solutions for a carbon-free future.

You will support our team with a variety of practical and organizational tasks, including:

• Handling laundry of lab coats and other textiles
  
  

• Tidying and organizing the changing area
  
  

• Collecting, cleaning, and storing visitor safety glasses
  
  

• Loading and unloading laboratory and kitchen dishwashers
  
  

• Organizing and storing clean laboratory glassware
  
  

• Emptying and cleaning sample jars and drip trays
  
  

• Cleaning Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs)
  
  

• Emptying trash cans and disposing of trash bags
  
  

• Replacing the deionized water cartridge
  
  

• Tidying up work areas and sorting parts in the upstairs warehouse
  
  

• Supporting logistics, such as disposing of waste in the Stäubli hall containers

• Assisting with company events, e.g., townhall and team event clean-up

• You are reliable, hands-on, and enjoy practical work
  
  

• You are organized and detail-oriented in keeping spaces tidy and safe
  
  

• You have good handcrafting or manual skills, and enjoy working with tools and materials
  
  

• You are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
  
  

• You can communicate fluently in either German or English
  
  

• Previous experience in facility support, lab assistance, housekeeping, or craftsmanship is a plus

This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen.
