How you'll contribute

)We’re looking for a hands-on and structured Supply Chain & Logistics Associate/Senior who flexibly bridges the gap between purchasing and logistics. You’ll ensure that every component arrives on time, at its best price, is quality-checked, and ready for production.

Your role will be critical in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently as we scale up production capacity and optimize our internal processes.


Specifically you will…

  • Execute and follow up on daily purchase orders for direct and indirect materials

  • Track and update order statuses to ensure full visibility across teams, escalate delays

  • Conduct goods receipt, performing quantity and quality checks

  • Coordinate material kitting and internal logistics to support assembly

  • Maintain and update sourcing data in our internal (PLM) system

  • Communicate directly with suppliers to clarify delivery timelines and escalate delays

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to resolve issues fast

  • Contribute to continuous improvements across purchasing and warehouse operations (e.g. warehouse structuring and digital inventory setup)

  • Help establish transparent, traceable, and well-structured material flows

Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables

Months 0–3

  • Get familiar with our internal tools, sourcing structure, and logistics processes

  • Take over daily operational purchasing and support goods receipt

  • Build strong communication channels with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Months 3–6

  • Independently manage order tracking, delivery follow-ups, and goods receipt workflows

  • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements in data handling or process flow

  • Support the setup of optimized warehouse routines and visual organization systems

Months 6–12

  • Take ownership of your supplier portfolio and related logistics processes

  • Contribute to process standardization and documentation (SOPs)

  • Ensure end-to-end operational excellence — from purchase order to on-site material availability

  • Play a key role in scaling our logistics operations for upcoming production phases

About you
  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in business with major in supply chain or logistics, or engineering

  • First experience in purchasing, logistics, or operational SCM

  • Comfortable with PLM or ERP/MES systems,

  • Strong understanding of BOMs, revisions, and their impact on procurement

  • German fluency (spoken & written) for supplier negotiations

  • Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented

  • Confident, friendly, and direct in supplier interactions

  • Technical affinity and curiosity about DAC, components, and plant setups

Bonus points for:

  • Quality control or technical engineering background

  • First experience in supplier negotiations

  • Familiarity with G-Suite and Notion

  • Understanding of certification needs and component documentation

Noteworthy points
  • This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.

  • German fluency (spoken & written) for supplier communication is mandatory
