At ottonova, development consists of several cross-functional teams, each headed by a team lead and a product owner, following agile methodologies like Scrum. You will join our awesome Ghostbusters Team, which focuses on operational efficiency and our agents that perform outstanding customer service.

YOUR IMPACT
As QA Automation Engineer (m/f/d) at ottonova you will...
  • build, maintain, and extend a reliable automated test setup for our web applications and backend systems
  • define and execute manual tests during each sprint and communicate findings
  • establish test processes, advocate for testability and a user focus during the planning process and help define quality gates when features are production ready
  • contribute to the exchange of ideas with other QA engineers and the development of QA best practices
YOUR SKILLSET
Role Requirements
Being in this role at ottonova means that you are experienced at an intermediate level: you have several years of relevant professional experience in a technology-focused environment.
  • You are significantly experienced in conceptualization, execution and development of automated and manual tests for front- and backend systems
  • You have good working knowledge of testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright and a mastery of your own toolset (operating managers, IDE, debugging, packet managers etc.)
  • You are familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments like GitLab
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of RESTful APIs

  • You are a strong communicator, collaborator, and experienced with working in an agile, interdisciplinary team

Advantages
Not a requirement, but a plus would be the following aspects:
  • Experience with technologies and tools such as Cypress, Postman, Swagger, Kibana, BrowserStack, Selenium, or other testing related tools
  • Awareness for data and IT security
  • Knowledge of the German language is a plus but not required
